Position Overview:
Strategic Sourcing Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for driving localization, partnerships with vendors both finished goods and components while working closely with global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for localization, manufacturing and partnership
- Develop and execute localization and cost-reduction roadmap in collaboration with Xiaomi global sourcing team
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the Smartphone component vendors’ landscape in India. Identify existing/upcoming components and raw material suppliers for potential evaluation
- Benchmark and analyze competition’s local sourcing strategy and plan including vendors’ landscape

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and at least 12-15 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/Vendor Management. Electrical/Electronics Engineering background preferred. Experience in Electronics industry preferably Smartphone segment highly valued
- Strong preference for experience dealing with multinational vendors and both electronics and mechanical parts sourcing
- Strong network in the industry including Smartphone component and component raw material vendors
- Ability to manage multiple projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure
