ANZ is hiring eligible and interested applicants for the post of Data Engineer at their Bengaluru, India location. As a Data Engineer, you will take charge of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data quality dashboards, its metrics, and existing assets for the division. You will take handover and knowledge transition from enterprise data governance on existing Data Quality Dashboards to ensure the business continuity is maintained.

A key element of this is driving the data engineering agenda to further enhance the current state of DQ Dashboards and stay aligned with the Group Data Strategy, ensuring delivery of the best data quality and its metric measurement respecting ANZ architecture standards. You will challenge inefficient engineering practices in the current state and influence change in your field to drive better business outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the existing or build new efficient, reliable and scalable data pipelines
  • Partner with both business and technology to build intuitive DQ data products
  • Work on diverse data technologies such as Knime, Data Stage, Qliksense
  • Maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with business and technology to enrich and enhance the existing dashboards and creating the necessary infrastructure to meet these needs.
  • Working with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Monitor and manage Control-M source jobs, ensuring they run smoothly and on schedule.
  • Oversee the execution of jobs for various countries, ensuring timely completion
  • Utilize Qlik View dashboards to track job performance and identify any issues.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues as they arise, using Oracle DB scripts and Infosphere DataStage.
  • Handle exceptions displayed in the Qlik dashboard, performing validity checks and batch processing as needed.
  • Provide alerts and necessary skills to address job failures promptly.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to improve data quality processes and tools.

What will you bring:

  • MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent
  • 7+ years experience in Data Engineering.
  • Experience with Oracle DB scripts, Infosphere DataStage, Qlik View and Control-M
  • Hands-on working experience and knowledge of data governance, data lineage, DQ Tools and traceability practices.
  • Strong background in at least institutional banking data sources (Trade Finance, Transaction Banking, KYC, Lending etc.).
  • Control-M for job scheduling and monitoring.
  • InfoSphere DataStage and Oracle DB for data quality rules and processing.
  • Qlik View for dashboard reporting and error tracking.
  • IBM Information Analyzer for data quality rule execution
  • Strong background in at least one of the following: distributed data processing, software engineering of data services, or data modelling
  • Proficient in at least one major programming language (eg. Python, Scala, Java)
  • Comfortable with complex SQL/Teradata
  • Extensive experience working within cross-functional, agile or continuous delivery teams
  • Experience with migration to Cloud Technologies will be an added advantage.

As an Engineer, you are accountable to:

  • Works with traders, sales, analysts, business managers to support the systems
  • Works with developers to elicit production issues
  • Helps other global support team for resolving complex problems in production
  • Works with internal teams (pricing/risk/valuation systems) to investigate issues and test the solution.

•    Excellent understanding of fixed income products such as bonds and swaps pricing as well as yield curve construction
•    Hands on experience with Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Bonds pricing and Fixed Income electronic trading
•    Good quantitative skills necessary for IRS / Bond pricing investigation
•    Hands on experience in front office trading platforms such as ION Trading MarketView, ION Pricing Engine (PXE, XPE), ION D2C & D2D gateways, Bloomberg TOMS, and Murex
•    Experience in platforms like Bloomberg and Refinitiv, trading venues like Yieldbroker, MarketAxess and TradeWeb, and trading systems like ION and Murex
•    Experienced with tools such as JIRA, Confluence and project management tools
•    Hands on with Incident, Problem and Capacity management

KYC Specialist

About the Role

The Know Your Customer (KYC) Specialist will support all operational activities undertaken for AML/CTF which the team performs for Australia Division KYC.
These activities include, but are not limited to, ensuring new to bank complex entities are on boarded to ANZ in line with requirements of ACIP, remediation of existing customer profiles (data and KYC), removal of KYC restraints from accounts and Iknow/KYC Maintenance.
The role may also be required to provide support to OCDD for simple and complex (individual and Non-Individual) customers which can involve KYC investigations and customer contact, via phone (inbound and outbound) consistently meeting the expected GOS standards
The Know Your Customer (KYC) Specialist will be comfortable and proficient with multi-tasking as the team performs a wide range of other activities which include, but are not limited to, complex KYC verification & loading, complex OCDD, complex customer remediation, data remediation, KYC maintenance, customer contact and follow up.
The KYC specialist will be fundamental to supporting the KYC COE across multiple operational tasks. A strong passion for compliance, getting things right the first time, attention to detail and a desire to make things easier for our customers are all pre requisites for the role..
