The Role
A Contact Manager I is responsible for deploying a minimalistic architecture at least cost to secure maximum profitable revenue by managing contracts that drive profitable growth, outstanding customer experience, and protect LUMENs interests against all risks. Responsible for management of vendor colocation agreements which includes negotiating new or renewal agreements, ordering and disconnecting of services, and maintaining an accurate database of services in North America.
This position is in the Network Planning & Access Management group.
The Main Responsibilities
- Negotiates new or renewal agreements with carrier neutral multi-tenant data center operators.
- Communicates with, and coordinates delivery of, space and power to ensure optimal purchasing with other functional groups.
- Manages vendor’s performance of service expectations and commitments in the agreement.
- Works with internal teams to identify areas of improvement, develops and implements the right solution with the vendor.
- Communicates vendor capabilities to internal customers and manages vendor performance against those requirements.
- Manages expenditures related to 3rd party collocation space and power, and tracks impact to network expense and operating expense budgets.
- Manages spend with key vendors and monitors company’s performance against buying plans and revenue commitments. Takes action to correct if spend is not in accordance with requirements.

Basic Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma/GED or 2 plus years of relevant job experience. Relevant job experience is described as job experience in similar industry
- Experience: 5+ years
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities
- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills
- Strong ability to develop business relationships and business plans with a third-party data center operator that maximize buying potential for the company
- Must possess a high aptitude for problem solving, be able to assess problems, research alternatives and pursue acceptable solutions while remaining within company guidelines
- Proven to be innovative and able to reset priorities and effectively manage resources to meet company objectives
- Ability to effectively present and communicate ideas, solutions, etc. to others
- Background in contract management
- Advanced understanding and use of Microsoft Office tools is essential (i.e., Excel)
- Must be a strong multi-tasker and have experience coordinating across departments

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$51410 – $68540 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$54110 – $72140 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$56820 – $75750 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$59520 – $79360 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive. Customer Care MGR II
The Role
Acts as a single point of contact for a group of assigned customer accounts which typically have a medium revenue scope or have moderate product needs. Manages any interactions from the customer order through billing to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction. Promotes revenue growth, retention, and overall customer satisfaction. Serves as the conduit and escalation point for exception problem management of customer troubles and issues in the areas of order entry, order validation, service activation, test and turn-up, customer access group, technical customer account management, disconnects and billing activities.
The Main Responsibilities
• Act as single point of contact for intermediate level implementation lifecycle management on a group of assigned customer accounts.
• Partner closely with sales and service delivery eco-systems to understand and implement sold solutions.
• Provide critical date management and escalation support to meet committed delivery objectives.
• Validate order details for sold services
• Follow established protocol for submitting orders to Order entry and provisioning.
• Provide timely response to customer and service delivery inquiries.
• Pro-actively manages the customer’s service needs to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and that their expectations are met.

Right-of-Way Contract Manager
The Role
At Lumen, the Contract Manager is responsible for renewing various Right-of-Way (ROW) Agreements, 3rd Party Fiber/Conduit and Pole Agreements related to the Company’s fiber-optic network across North America. They are responsible for managing numerous negotiations simultaneously as well as developing and delivering progress reports and various metrics for the Implementation Services department within Field Operations. They act as Outside Plant project manager for those assigned construction projects within the Contract Manager’s territory.
Work Location
This is a work from home position within the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
- Uses several techniques to solve complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review and analysis of several factors.

- Strong experience in contract negotiation and management

- Experience with interfacing with various municipal agencies is required
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance or related field. A combination of education and experience is acceptable

- Experience in Outside Plant design and/or construction, or network planning is preferred

Inventory Materials Specialist
The Role
As a Lumen Inventory Materials Specialist, you will prepare and process engineering installation orders and coordinate with freight carriers and installers delivery scheduling, shipment tracking and problem resolution. Perform all transactions in the warehouse management system.
Work Location
This role will report to 3439 Irving Blvd. Dallas, Texas.
The Main Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliations matching physical inventory counts to SAP on hand balances.
- Load and unload materials as required confirming shipments against load BOL’s. Open crates, boxes, cartons, and other containers and validate part numbers, quantities and serial numbers against material pack list.
- Pick orders from daily requisitions and complete SAP system transactions confirming parts, quantities, and serial numbers being removed from on hand inventory. Verify, pack and create associated shipment documents and ship orders utilizing UPS WorldShip for parcel shipments or freight carriers LTL shipments.
- Receive RMA, de-install and field returns. Validate part, quantity and serial number against return paperwork and process receipt transaction in the Equipment Return Tool and SAP systems using the determination from the tool to properly receive into Stock, Spares, Excess, or Recycle.
- Identify and work through exceptions, including system issues, data inconsistencies and other issues that may come up. This requires interacting with others in the team and with other departments as appropriate.
- Perform periodic on call after hours shipment requests.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- High School degree/GED
- Minimum 1+ years warehouse experience is required, including operating directly in warehouse management system
- Proficient in computer systems knowledge and skills, as well as experience with Outlook, Excel and Word applications
- Familiarity and experience in warehouse fundamentals including knowledge of basic practices, and procedures of material receipt, order fulfillment, RMA returns and inventory management
- Able ot operate a forklift, load and unload materials, ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Motivated self-starter able to work individually or within a team, and have the ability to monitor and work from logical inventory work queues
- Capable of identifying items by mfg. part number and serial number when applicable
- Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and good oral and written comunication skills
- Flexible in job tasks and have the ability to perform on call and call out duties 24 X 7 on rotaional basis
- Ablilty to learn systems and processes quickly
Preferred
- Experienced working in large volume distribution centers
- Experienced with SAP and SAP WM systems
- Experienced and knowledgeable handling telecommunications materials and equipment
