Intern: Talent Acquisition (2025)
The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Intern will provide critical support to the Corporate Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Management by identifying talent to support the growth across various groups within United. As an intern within the Talent Acquisition team, you will partner with recruiters to understand job needs, implement sourcing strategies and cultivate relationships with key candidates through phone screens and building rapport to identify the most creative for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Recruiters to identify robust sourcing strategies for assigned jobs, complete those plans to identify and evaluate potential candidates and ultimately build a slate of people
- Source active and passive candidates from various databases, contact lists, job boards and employee referrals
- Work with Talent Acquisition team to generate creative ideas for sourcing, leverage resources and share information that builds an effective search process

We’re looking for a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) who has valid Airframe & Powerplant certification to join our Technical Operations team in one of United’s domestic HUBS.
In this vital role, you will provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe and Components. You’ll handle a wide variety of duties that make every day different, including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair, as well as routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
As a Facilities Utility Specialist you will work in a fast-paced Facilities Maintenance Operations department. The Facilities Utility Specialist plays a very important role in providing quality service to our internal customers. The Facilities Utility Specialist performs work in accordance with guidelines established in the collective bargaining agreement.
- Identifying and checking tools, test equipment and certain commodities in and out of the warehouse, as well as the service, cleaning, inventory storage and accounting of tools, test equipment and commodities used in the daily operation
- Performing routine maintenance tasks of a general nature, such as servicing, cleaning and transporting equipment as well as cutting, sizing, and forming materials
- Assisting in the operation of the airline baggage system including and not limited to monitoring, managing and clearing of baggage related jams and operational support of the baggage handling systems
- Surface treatment of facility component parts with chemicals and sandblasting equipment
- General shop and housekeeping responsibilities as related to storage, break, and work area cleanliness
- Supporting the department through the transportation, inventory and accounting of parts and components needed to complete tasks
- Assisting Technicians with work as requested
- Facilities Utility Specialist must be able to work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, in the outdoors in all weather conditions
- Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority
- Facilities Utility Specialist are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)
- Salary increases will be coordinated according to the current IBT/United contract
- Shift differentials are paid for working an afternoon or evening shift respectively as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement
- New employees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days of employment
- There is an initiation fee for joining the union and subsequent monthly union dues
