Shift Incharge
Manage the shift schedules of operators, allocate job to maintenance & contract supervisor as per schedules & requirements and provide shop floor training to the team
– Supervise day to day production activities as per defined process parameters by regular conditional monitoring and assist to resolve the deviations like leakages, spillages & unsafe conditions
– Achieve the plant production targets by monitoring process parameters, yield & quality during the shift
– Participate in Job Safety Analysis before initiating any work and follow the Permit System accordingly, ensure the permit closure post work completion
– Maintain good Housekeeping standards in the plant for smooth operations
– Ensure availability of raw materials & finished goods by communicating with other divisions & departments like stores & material
– Handle emergency situations & inform the superiors for any deviation, act as an incident controller in absence of SMC – Site Main Controller
– Identify & report the unsafe conditions to immediate superior & rectify the unsafe acts immediately
– Promote highest safety standards and BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) by ensuring usage of the required PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) by self & contract workers
– Ensure the required availability levels of utilities (steam, air, cooling water) & report shortfalls to the superior
– Verify the quantity & quality of batch raw material and maintain the records of process parameters like (PH, scrubber, dip-check, weight, load cell, density)
– Monitor & control environmental parameters during the shifts
– Monitor the loading and unloading activities during the shift Coordinate with QC lab for results of samples and report to seniors
Research Officer
Research Officer
Purpose Statement:
2 to 6 yrs of exp in Organic Synthesis Chemistry/Process Development and good knowledge of basic chemistry ,experience in carrying out lab reactions such as Chlorination, Nitration, diazotization, Condensation. Candidate should be familiar with isolation and purification techniques like crystallization, fractional distillation etc
– Responsible for the availability of raw materials as per lab requirements
-To analyse quality results and discuss the experimentation plan with Research Incharge.
– Understand the safety aspects of all reactions and chemicals to be used
– Ensure the setup ( reaction assembly, Chlorination, Nitration, diazotization, Condensation, crystallization) as planned
– Carry out reaction process as per the provided plan, get the analysis done of raw material , in process reaction
intermediate and product
– Record all observations and give suggestions for improvement
– Ensure proper housekeeping of the lab
– Maintain highest safety practices while working by using required PPEs (Personal protective equipment)
– Maintain the log sheets of all the experiments regularly with critical observations and feed the data into Electronic Lab
Notebook (ELN)
– Stack of all the chemicals & glassware as per 5S (sort, set-in-order, shine, standardize, sustain)
– After reaction completion, decontaminate the glass apparatus and give for further cleaning.
– Segregate effluents as per the lab system
Research Officer
Purpose Statement:
Handle reactions at Scale-up lab operations, compile data and ensure adherence to safety and incorporate best laboratory housekeeping practices.
– Responsible for the availability of raw materials as per lab requirements
-To analyse quality results and discuss the experimentation plan with Research Incharge.
– Understand the safety aspects of all reactions and chemicals to be used
– Ensure the setup ( reaction assembly, distillation, filtration, reaction work-up, crystallization) as planned
– Carry out reaction process as per the provided plan, get the analysis done of raw material , in process reaction
intermediate and product
– Record all observations and give suggestions for improvement
– Ensure proper housekeeping of the lab
– Maintain highest safety practices while working by using required PPEs (Personal protective equipment)
– Maintain the log sheets of all the experiments regularly with critical observations and feed the data into Electronic Lab

Field Operator
Inspect the physical condition of all the operative machinery (storage tank, equipment – pumps, blowers, rotary valves, pipeline, instrument etc.) before charging the raw materials and report any condition affecting safety, environment, efficiency or product quality
– Receive and Check Raw Materials as per specifications to ensure the production requirement is met Operate and regulate the valves to control the flow of the raw materials to obtain the desired process parameters
– Monitor the process parameters continuously; e.g.; density, set point, temperature and pH as per schedule and report it to DCS supervisor or shift in-charge for any deviations
– Report any deviations in the equipments or any event in the plant or respective section, to the shift in- charge and follow instructions for corrective measures or emergency shutdown
– Responsible for adherence to the SOP guidelines while start up, running operations and shut down of the plant
– Ensure loading & unloading of tankers/trucks as per SOP
– Responsible to decontaminate the equipments as per the schedule
– React promptly on various safety alarms by mitigating risk, regulating or shutting down machinery during emergency situations, as directed by shift in-charge
– Handle any leakage or spillage of hazardous substances as per the guidelines
– Follow site HSE rules & mandatory PPE as per PPE Matrix, Behaviour based safety guidelines
– Responsible for meeting housekeeping standards of allocated area
– Draw samples of products & raw materials and send them to Q.C. lab for testing
– Adhere to Zero Tolerance specifications
Research Officer
Purpose Statement:
Handle high pressure reactions at R&D lab operations, compile data and ensure adherence to safety and incorporate best laboratory housekeeping practices.
– Responsible for the availability of raw materials, catalysts and instrument spares as per high pressure lab requirements.
-To analyse quality results and discuss the experimentation plan and parameters with Research Incharge.
– Understand the safety aspects of all reactions,chemicals and catalysts to be used in high pressure reactions.
– Ensure the proper setup ( compatability of autoclave,high pressure addition pumps, thermostats etc) as planned.
– Carry out reaction process as per the provided plan, get the analysis done for raw materials, catalysts , in process reaction
intermediates and product.
– Record all observations and give suggestions for improvement.
– Report any breakdowm, abnormal functioning of instruments in high pressure lab.
– Ensure proper housekeeping of the lab.
– Maintain highest safety practices while working by using required PPEs (Personal protective equipment).
– Maintain the log sheets of all the experiments regularly with critical observations and feed the data into Electronic Lab Notebook
(ELN).
– Ensure working in lab as per SOP’s provided.
– Maintain stock of all the chemicals, catalysts and instrument spares required as per 5’S’ (sort, set-in-order, shine, standardize,
sustain)
– After reaction completion, decontaminate the autoclave/instruments properly.
– To ensure proper and complete recovery/quenching of catalysts after reaction.
– To ensure proper and safe storage of catalysts and maintain its record.
– Segregate effluents as per the lab system.
– To undergo trainings as per schedule.
