- The job holder will responsible for setting up and supporting the development of both internal and external communications programme.
- Developing excellent relationships with the Units by supporting the education, awareness and motivation to reach international standards and best practices.
- Developing the business sustainability reporting and analysis & benchmarking processes.
- Provide analysis of the performance of business with regards to sustainability against internal and external benchmarks.

- To regularly evaluate the scope of material issues, the boundaries identified for each and the timescale considered

Sustainability Communications
- To prepare external messaging to enhance Birla Cellulose brand positioning through articles, case studies responsible
- To provide constructive inputs and influence Brands with our sustainability credentials
Support for Public Disclosures
- To work with sites for participation in disclosure platforms such as BRSR, CDP, DJSI, MSCI etc. to enhance transparency of performance through data assurance
Support for programmes like Supplier Management and Human Rights
- To implement programmes related to supplier sustainability assessment for a sustainable supply chain
- To implement HRDD across the sites to building leadership through competitive advantage
Periodic Knowledge upgradation on Sustainability
- To prepare comparative information based on competition or similar industry relevant to our business and practices that could be applicable to our business
- Changing scenarios & trends on Sustainability which may help us in aligning our Strategy with Business goals
Learning through external interventions, Awards & Conferences
- To establish BC Brand by participating in various Awards and other activities to showcase our efforts towards Sustainability

Job Context & Major Challenges
BUSINESS: PULP AND FIBRE The production of Viscose Staple Fibre (VSF) was first started in 1954 with a small capacity of 5 KTPA at Nagda (India). Today, VSF is a core business for Aditya Birla Group. It presently enjoys 23% global market share with production of 661 KTPA. The Group s VSF business operates through its four companies Grasim (India), Thai Rayon (Thailand), Indo Bharat Rayon (Indonesia) and Birla Jingwei, China. The group has also concurrently expanded its presence in Dissolving grade Pulp production to support the raw material requirement of its VSF operations and has two Pulp Plants in Canada and one in India. It has initiated a Pulp and Plantation project in Laos to strengthen its backward integration.Thai Rayon Public Co., Ltd.(TRC) TRC was incorporated in 1974, commenced production in 1976 with annual production capacity of 9000 tons of VSF which was expanded at various times. The current annual production capacity of VSF is 137240 tons & Anhydrous Sodium Sulphate 113417 tons comprising of 122640 Tons normal VSF and 14600 Tons Modal Fibre. TRC was listed on Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1984. After meeting entire domestic demand more than 50% of production volume is directly exported to various countries including Japan, USA, Canada & EU. TRC s product quality is well establi shed in international market.The Company has recently installed 5th VSF production line, revamped the oldest production line with new machinery (Line #6) and set up a gas based CS2 plant at a new location in Thailand.TRC has been earmarked to be the Centre of Excellence for specialty Modal and micro Modal VSF production. One production line has been dedicated for producing 14,700 tons of Modal fiber. Besides VSF operations, TRC has significant investments in backward & forward integration projects in Thailand, Indonesia, Canada, China, Laos and several diversification projects in Egypt and Thailand. Accredited with ISO 9001 & 14001 TRC is recipient of coveted TPM Award & one of the best employer in Thailand award in 2005 from Hewitt Associates in Thailand.
