What role will you play? 
As part of the apprenticeship, you will embark on a structured program with hands-on and formal training to develop your soft and technical skills. Additionally, you will be assigned a buddy and a mentor who will support you throughout the program.

Technology
You will develop your knowledge and skills while working across data, platforms, projects, and transformation. You will learn to generate, analyse, and report data and will have the opportunity to apply your skills on the job.
Data 
You will collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders to align with requirements and support the design, build, and testing phases. You will also support in managing the quality of data and help with its governance based on the Enterprise Data Management framework.
Risk 
You will build your knowledge of risk management principles and provide support for our Risk Management Group. You will have exposure to functional skills such as data operations, reporting and analytics, operations management and monitoring, internal audit, control assurance, or projects.

Reconciliations Associate

Join our team as a Reconciliations Associate within Macquarie Asset Management, where you will play a key role in maintaining quality control processes.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will be involved in preparing time-critical custody cash, stock position, futures, forwards, and swap reconciliations, which include both manual and automated processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting timely research and clearance of reconciliation discrepancies. You will also be preparing daily control reports, monitoring reconciliation discrepancies, ensuring regular follow-ups and escalations, and clearing Nostro items.

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline. Post-qualification experience ranging from 1-3 years for an Associate and 3-5 years for a Senior Associate within a financial institution, preferably in an Asset Reconciliation team at a global custodian or an asset manager. 
  • Knowledge of the Financial/Banking Services industry and Shared Services operational models. 
  • Product knowledge, including Equities, Futures, FX, Fixed Income, Options, OTCs, Swaps, and more. Proficiency in reconciliation platforms such as TLM and Frontier, as well as familiarity with Blackrock Aladdin and Eagle Pace. 
  • Proven ability to think laterally, solve complex problems, and identify opportunities for process enhancements. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across various timezones to accommodate client needs.
