Role:
- Sheet metal parts development and evaluation
- Failure analysis in Sheet metal
Responsibility:
- Knowledge of manufacturing process of Sheet metal parts
- BIW part evaluation & failure analysis.
- Technical guidance to vendor for Sheet metal parts manufacturing process.
- Sheet metal stamping , welding and material technical know how should be available.
- Part & Process evaluations preferable for new product development.
Analysis of Part Quality issues & countermeasure planning.
New product development activity planning
- Planning for zero defect production lines setup at Vendors.
- PFMEA and required actions planning with vendors.
- Advance Quality planning for new parts development.
- Analysis of part quality issues & countermeasure planning for mass production models
Competency Requirements:
- Knowledge of Sheet metal Stamping & Welding process
- Expertise in checking fixture & welding fixture design & concept generation.
- Good understanding of raw material spec & usage areas.
- Effective problem solver with skill to lead root cause investigation.
- Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including theoretical background of SPC, Analytical tools and Six sigma.
- Working Knowledge of Tools / Dies & various inspection aids (gauges /Jigs / Fixtures / Test Rigs, Etc.).
- Clear & Good communication skills.
