THE ROLE

We are looking for a marketing leader to head Social marketing for Netflix India. The Netflix India social community (~50M strong) is one of our most valuable brand assets, contributing meaningfully to our title, talent and brand marketing efforts.  This person will lead a talented team of social marketing managers who are responsible for best in class work in both community management and campaigns. This team operates at the center of pop culture, driving conversation & engagement, creating & reacting to trends, and connecting audience needs with brand  & business needs. 

 

This role, Head – Social Marketing, is based in Mumbai and will report to the Vice President, Marketing, India

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Leading a talented team of social marketing professionals responsible for all aspects of community & audience management; programming; and leading the social strategy and execution for title campaigns.
  • Owning and driving overall Social Marketing strategy and connecting this with overall marketing strategy. 
  • Responsible for strategy and execution across all handles / channels (youtube, shorts, instagram, facebook, twitter / x, twitter south)
  • Cross functional collaboration working deeply with content, PR, comms, product, legal and other cross functional teams and peers to drive audience & business impact
  • An integral part of the marketing team working closely with other marketing functions (title marketing, service and slate marketing, marketing production, marketing partnerships, and global marketing teams) to drive impact.
  • Operating at the cutting edge of pop culture: able to see ahead of corners, spot trends, identify opportunities, and bring this knowledge to bear to drive conversation and audience engagement. 
  • An integral part of campaigns across local originals, global originals, local and global licensed / Pay1, brand campaigns – contributing both strategically and through implementation to bring alive the campaigns
  • Integral contributor to overall marketing strategy as part of the India Marketing Leadership team
  • Building strong relationships both internally with cross functional partners and externally with critical industry stakeholders, key talent, showrunners, directors, and production houses.
  • Owning the social marketing budget and driving effectiveness and efficiency with the spends. 
  • Building and fostering social agency relationships and managing them to deliver outstanding work
  • Defining and implementing workflows, processes, checking and refining them to ensure smooth 360 functioning of work between teams and functions

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

 

  • 10-15 years of experience in building creative consumer marketing campaigns 
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in leading social marketing for proven, world class internet-first brands
  • Deep, extensive knowledge of the social ecosystem and landscape 
  • Entertainment marketing experience (in marketing films / series, content marketing)
  • Proven track record of building impactful, cutting edge social marketing campaigns that connect with audiences and break through the cultural zeitgeist

Coordinator – VFX, India

This role supports the Manager, VFX, India across a variety of duties spanning all project titles within the region. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a positive thinker, effective communicator and able to exercise good judgment and initiative. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track progress of scripted series titles produced by Netflix India.
  • Set-up and/or take notes during all meetings, maintain weekly agendas.
  • In partnership with VFX leadership across APAC, help to design, standardize and implement new workflow/tracking methods for projects to ensure transparency of progress
  • Liaise between vendors, crew, internal teams to improve cross vertical information flow.
  • Maintain folder structure and tracking documents in alignment with the Netflix VFX team and cross-functional partners
  • Sync with post production external partners to set up reviews when necessary.
  • Setup meetings and maintain up to date notes on current local and potential international VFX vendors in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in any of the following – VFX Production features or series.
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment, supervising several projects in various points of production (from development through delivery)
  • Ability to create  VFX shot breakdown and VFX schedule for regional (India) content during early development.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive mentality and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with production software such as Shotgrid, Excel as well as Google Suite.
  • A strong understanding of VFX workflow and post pipeline. 
  • Working knowledge of third party VFX facilities DI/finishing workflow.
  • Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
  • Comfortable with a fast pace and constant change.
  • Team-player who operates in a fast paced team-oriented setting.

Administrative Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support India PR. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on timeliness, organisation and an unwavering attention to detail at all times.

 

The PR team interacts with internal teams and external partners – sometimes across multiple countries and timezones. Therefore, a high level of organisation and strong communication skills are critical. Someone who is curious, mature, moves and learns quickly, demonstrates significant initiative, and inherently exercises good judgement will be most successful.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Schedule meetings, internally and externally, across regions/time zones
  • Organise agendas for key meetings and interactions
  • Maintain and update calendars; handle conflicts and reminders
  • Respond on behalf of the executive calendar when appropriate
  • Raise Purchase Orders and help to track payments to external vendors
  • Create early drafts of contracts and sponsorship agreements for review

Requirements

 

  • 8-10 years hands­-on production experience in film production
  • Should have worked as an Executive producer / Line Producer with experience of at least 5-6 long format content pieces (Feature films or OTT Series)
  • Good budgeting skills and experience.
  • Should have great vendor/crew relationships & be able to leverage them.
  • Strong understanding of traditional production schedules and paperwork
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi­task
  • Team player who operates in a fast-paced, team-­oriented setting
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information
  • Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and the Google apps suite
