As a Starbucks compensation consultant, you will contribute to Starbucks success by designing, implementing and managing complex compensation programs for given client groups that are competitive and support the Company’s business and strategic plans.

Leveraging Your Previous Experience, We Will Enable You To
- Act as primary consultant for multiple support functions and/or business units, serving as a strategic advisor on compensation practices and the pay landscape both internally and externally
- Market price jobs from the routine to the more complex
- Independently conduct large job family reviews, integrating key elements of our Career Framework strategy
- Evaluate Starbucks job architecture in relation to the market
- Provide compensation recommendations on changes to pay structure in alignment with business strategy
- Review compensation programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal pay legislation requirements
- Thoughtfully integrate Pay Transparency practices throughout all stages of the employee life cycle
- Lead communications and change management processes in partnership with PRO
- Facilitate company-wide annual rewards programs for assigned client groups
- Develop, implement and administer base pay programs, including pay setting, pay structure development, and pay progression policy formulation for given client groups.
- Conduct complex modeling and analysis on all aspects of compensation which may include building analytical tools to predict and/or diagnose compensation issues, drawing themes and trends from data analysis to influence and support decision making, and effectively representing data in charts and graphs.
- Develop and deliver efficient and effective presentations to influence decision making and communicate information to management and partners.
- Plan for the implementation of complex compensation programs or projects through generalists; advise and provide technical input to generalists or technology teams for programs or projects with significant systems or partner impact.
- Measure effectiveness and provide recommendations on incentive design changes. Support the design and development of existing and new incentive programs. Know how to use various financial metrics in incentive plan design and understands the impact of each. Independently model scenarios for behavior and costing outcomes. Work with Finance to ensure accruals are appropriately set up, monitored and managed. Develop plan documents.

- Five or more years of implementation and/or administration of compensation plans
- Five or more years serving in an advisory role for clients/customers
- Three or more years of designing plans and programs for direct pay, incentive pay, and/or sales compensation
- Three or more years of cross functional project management

As Tea Partner, You Will
- Understand and follow established safety guidelines, programs and procedures; and actively work to prevent safety incidents.
- Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
- Maintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures. Monitor and document quality measures using analytical tools.

- Replenish raw materials on automated and manual packaging equipment.

- Assist machine operator with quality checks on packaging, including lot coding, aesthetics and seal integrity.
- Maintain packaging equipment and work area in accordance with maintenance and sanitation policies and standards.
- Utilize wrapping machines, pallet jacks and other equipment to prepare pallets.
- Identify and measure correct raw materials for tea blending. Convert unit of measure from metric to English standard and accurately record raw material usage.
- Perform quality checks and record in database as well as in manual document forms. Check ingredients for foreign materials, separating and bagging them for quality assurance (QA) assessment.
- Enter all quality deviations into the Production Deviation Report database (PDR).
- Determine type and quantity of flavoring oils for cycle and demonstrate special handling and safety for hazardous oils that are flammable and cause skin irritation.
- Conduct light preventative maintenance of blenders and secondary systems. Record production, create lot numbers, and create bag and pallet labels using Oracle Production Module.
- Safely operate material handling equipment to include those that are electrically driven.
- Maintain oil room according to all combustible material guidelines and MSDS. Conduct and record inventory cycle counts

- Production, operations or distribution environment (1 year)
- High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent
- Intermediate math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and unit of measure conversion from metric to English standard
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to chest level in a safe manner multiple times a shift
- Basic computer skills to enable recording of production, completing labels and printing
- Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
- Must qualify to work in the oil room (contains flammable hazards)

About the Starbucks Summer Internship Program:
The Starbucks Internship Program is paid, full time, 12 week program (June – early September 2025), designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in a field of interest and expertise within the Starbucks Partner and Customer Solutions team. Roles will be based out of the Seattle Support Center in Seattle, WA.
