About the team
The Go-to-Market systems team is Stripe’s strategic technology partner providing the business technology and services to enable Stripe to sell, market and support at scale.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Marketing Technology Administrator for the Marketing Systems team within Go-to-Market Systems to build and maintain a world-class marketing engine
Responsibilities
- Effectively work autonomously and collaboratively to design and implement both tactical and project related deliverables
- Work closely with program managers and business partners to understand and refine requirements, objectives, and processes to drive strategic solutions
- Work with leadership to help craft roadmaps and define technical vision for Marketing Systems
- Build for scale by designing holistically, with a focus on flexibility and maintainability
- Ensure appropriate controls and documentation are followed to create an effective control environment
- Participate in strategic conversations and also build high quality functionality within our systems

Minimum requirements
- 7+ years of Marketo administration experience
- 2+ years of working on Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Lead management experience that includes lead scoring, lead routing, lead lifecycle management
- Experience evaluating, building and supporting new marketing technology like Account Based Marketing, Inbound Chat Technologies, Google 360, Integrations with 3rd party SaaS platforms
- Excellent analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate effectively with management, sales, IT, vendors and international teams
- Experience in building coherent and impactful technical roadmaps for Marketing Systems.
- Excellent communication skills with leadership and teammates
- Strong problem solving capabilities
- Proven ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment and offer impacting solutions
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of web programming experience
- Proficient in SQL, CSS, HTML and scripting experience like javascript, velocity
- Marketo Certified Expert, Marketo Solutions Architect/Marketo Engage Architect
- Experience with data migration, integration techniques, and tools
- Working knowledge of CMS like Contentful

About the team
The Compute organization at Stripe manages the core cloud infrastructure that powers Stripe’s products. We are responsible for managing the server fleet, containers, and resource automation to enable thousands of Stripe services. As an Engineer working with teams in Compute, you will play a key leadership role to build resilient infrastructure that scales our business and achieves a best in class price/performance ratio. Some of the technologies that we work with include Linux OS & Kernel, Kubernetes, and AWS EC2. We continuously invest in building new distributed services and scaling existing technologies while working with service owners to meet their current and future needs.

What you’ll do
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with experience designing, building and maintaining high-scale, distributed systems. You will work with a team that is in charge of building the core infrastructure used by the product teams to build and operate their services. You will have the opportunity to build a great customer experience for internal Stripe teams using this infrastructure and play a key role in enabling Stripe’s infrastructure to power all of our products, globally and at scale.

- Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, process, and culture
- Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust solutions, making appropriate tradeoffs between reliability, throughput, latency, resiliency, engineering velocity and cost
- Innovate, design and implement software solutions that contribute towards improvement in infrastructure resiliency, reliability, efficiency and management at scale
- Uphold our high engineering standards and improve our codebase and processes

- Experience with scaling distributed systems in a rapidly moving environment
- Experience in a development team in AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP
- Comfort breaking down large, complex systems; identifying shortcomings and optimization opportunities; and making data driven cost performance tradeoffs to influence design decisions
- Experience building and operating infrastructure and tools that empower developers

- Experience operating a tier0 service
- Experience with Go and Java
- Experience with Foundational control planes

Verification & Identity Platform (VIP) is a core platform team which powers user onboarding & verification (KYC & KYB) worldwide & ensures continued compliance throughout the merchant life-cycle at Stripe. Our team safeguards user identities across our array of digital services, designing and executing a secure, effortless, and user-centered identity collection & verification environment. Our efforts cover a broad spectrum of identity confirming scenarios, including identity proofing, risk-based, and adaptive verification technology. We provide a in-house smart orchestration eco system which allows us to integrate with multiple 3P data verification services, financial institutions and regulatory bodies to build accuracy, reliability and speed to verify accounts & businesses. We enable Stripe’s continued compliance in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape by providing infrastructure that automates document collection, verification & merchant communication for high scale requirements refresh and accounts remediation programs.
You will:
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack

- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Who you are
It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas. For instance, we have wonderful team members who are really focused on their customers’ needs and building amazing user experiences, but didn’t work on APIs before joining Stripe.
Minimum requirements
- You have a strong technical background with 4-10 years of technical experience building APIs.
- Think about systems and services and write high quality code.
- Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems.
- Take pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different expertise (for example, ¼ of Stripes work in a country that’s different from the one they grew up in). Who you are

Minimum requirements
- Have a strong technical background, including 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Experience in architecting and designing full-stack systems that delivered critical impact to a business
- Enjoy being a generalist, working on frontend, backend, infrastructure, data pipelines, or billing pipelines as needed to solve problems and delight our users. (You don’t need to be an expert in all of these but it helps to be interested in learning about them.)
- Skilled in working with technical and cross-functional stakeholders across the company: building alignment, driving decision making, and communicating transparently
- Experience mentoring and helping in the development of engineers and peers
- Enjoy and have experience building scalable backend infrastructure.
- Write high quality code. We work mostly in Scala, Java, and Javascript. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework.
