Deep Learning Manipulation Engineer, Tesla Bot
Tesla is on a path to build humanoid robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks. Core to the Tesla Bot, the manipulation stack presents a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art algorithms for object manipulation culminating in their deployment to real world production applications. Our robotic manipulation software engineers develop and own this stack from inception to deployment. What You’ll Do
- Design and develop our learned robotic manipulation software stack and algorithms
- Develop robotic manipulation capabilities including but not limited to (re)grasping, pick-and-place, and more dexterous behaviors to enable useful work in both structured and unstructured environments
- Model robotic manipulation processes to enable analysis, simulation, planning, and controls
- Reason about uncertainty due to measurements and physical interaction with the environment, and develop algorithms that adapt well to imperfect information
- Assist with overall software architecture design, including designing interfaces between subsystems
- Ship production quality, safety-critical software
- Collaborate with a team of exceptional individuals laser focused on bringing useful bi-ped humanoid robots into the real world
What You’ll Bring

Invoice Quality Assurance Specialist
What You’ll Do
- Communication with construction contractors regarding invoicing and issues with account payables
- Review construction contractor invoices to ensure agreements terms are being followed correctly
- Knowledge in the proper completion of AIA forms, waivers, and retainage
- Proactively analyze and mitigate any contractor billing issues
- Develop and implement financial controls to eliminate risks

Equipment Engineering Technician, Cybertruck, General Assembly
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with equipment owners to improve and modify systems, boosting overall equipment efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, implementing improvements, and ensuring sustained performance of Cybertruck General Assembly equipment
- Manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, production targets, and quality standards are met. Oversee resource allocation, track project milestones, and provide updates to relevant stakeholders to maintain project momentum
- Work autonomously, taking initiative and making decisions to drive tasks and projects to completion. Demonstrate problem-solving skills in troubleshooting, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions with minimal supervision
- Install and modify hardware using both electrical and mechanical schematics. Perform installations, retrofits, and upgrades independently, ensuring accuracy and alignment with technical requirements. Source and order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and vendors
- Maintain and troubleshoot various equipment systems, including electrical systems (24 VDC to 480 VAC 3-phase), mechanical systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, PLCs (BASIC – Siemens), and robotics (Fanuc/Kuka). Fabricate mounting brackets and adapters using machine shop tools. Experience with CNC machining is highly valued
- Proficient in reading schematics, mechanical drawings, and some design (SolidWorks or CATIA), troubleshooting electrical systems, diagnosing faults, and conducting repairs. Ensure adherence to maintenance safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), 5S, and Arc Flash standards (NFPA70E)
- Flexible to work weekends, nights, and holidays, supporting Tesla’s aggressive production targets by ensuring the continuous operation of equipment. Willing to adapt to varying shift schedules to meet production demands and respond to equipment downtime

What You’ll Do
- Review die processes for parts to stay within cost, can meet quality targets & follow through to full production
- Adhere to simulation guidelines & die design standards
- Make detailed studies & provide recommendations to the team for solving process and feasibility issues
- Assess automation blank loading and transfer arms to ensure press speed and end of arm cups not damaging panels
- Direct tool changes to tune dies per dimensional quality engineer to ensure dies are capable and repeat
- Ensure dies meet production process intent for cost, quality & repeatability
- Perform vendor die design reviews ensuring die robustness and performance targets are met
- Oversight of package of work through to home line activities
- Develop inventory for spare details, punches & buttons using die BOM
- Ensure production readiness of dies, scrap shed, SPM, & no burrs/slivers
