Your New Role

 

Manager, Finance,  DTC Ad  Sales, will report to the Director of Financial Analysis , Ad Sales Finance, and will play an integral role in providing significant insights on Warner Bros. Discovery’s entertainment digital overall ad sales performance across our Max and Discovery+ DTC products.  Manager will prepare data analyses to drive business decisions and will work closely with multiple business and finance stakeholders to model forecast, budget, LRP, and ad-hoc analyses.

The position is responsible for generating, analyzing and financial overview of entertainment digital platforms as they relate to the company’s objectives. Critical to this position is the ability to manufacture solid relationships with operational decision makers, as well as with senior stakeholders, to support the priorities of both the Company and division and provide insights and guidance where appropriate to maximize financial results.

The manager will have excellent intuition for business, strong analytical and communication skills, ability to partner and work cross-functionally in a multi-facet organization, in addition to proactively ensuring efficiency and streamlined processes.

 

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Oversee Max and Discovery+ Financial Planning & Analysis providing visibility to all relevant stakeholders including leadership across finance, sales, pricing and planning, operations, strategy, and accounting.
  • Manage ad sales financial strategic overview of DTC ensuring alignment on strategy and ad sales KPIs with all stakeholders. Consolidate DTC ad sales performance collaborating with the DTC Global Finance Team.
  • Analyze and monitor forecast KPI’s vs. targets and proactively work with cross-functional business partners in identifying risks and opportunities, and levers to maximize monetization. Support sales efforts to create revenue opportunities collaborating across Warner Bros. Discovery.
  • Prepare robust and integrated financial models, scenario analysis, providing actionable recommendations and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Manage and prepare the digital ad sales revenue and metrics reporting for business leaders, including variance analyses vs. plan, vs. prior year, and vs. prior forecast. Effectively prepare ad-hoc strategic projects and analyses.
  • Partner with accounting and billing team on month and quarter-end close reporting, improving accuracy and efficiency in forecasting.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA or CPA a plus).
  • Ability to communicate and make high level presentations to senior executives.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while demonstrating sense of urgency.
  • High standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Proficiency in excel and demonstrated technical skills in building agile and intuitive financial models.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and interact with all levels of the organization.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 – $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Production Assistant (Temporary)

The Production Assistant role is an entry-level position that is vital in supporting the Bleacher Report Live Production Team.

This person must be an avid sports fan who keeps up with relevant storylines in the sports landscape.

Citrix Virtual Application Delivery Engineer

To design, develop, support and maintain the multiple Citrix XenApp (CVAD) sites and related technologies at WBD. Support the underlying OSes for the Citrix platform. To work with application owners, support teams and other staff to implement and support applications hosted in the Citrix environments. To develop, maintain and support (code used for) configuration management. Participate in formal processes within the company – Change Management etc. Participate in an on-call rota for daytime and out of hours support relating to the Citrix environment. Out of hours on-call rota participation is typically one week in five. Occasionally work out of hours to deliver projects or other items such as maintenance. Participate with other efforts and initiatives as required.

 

Your Role Accountabilities:

  • Dealing with break/fix incidents as raised through internal support tools – 10%
  • Implementing and deploying gold image updates – 10%
  • Adding and updating applications hosted in the Citrix platform – 45%
  • Enhancing and upgrading the Citrix platform 5%

Senior Manager Corporate Accounting

Key WBD Corporate Accounting leadership position focusing on Equity Investments, AR Securitization and other Corporate functions.  The position requires strong technical accounting skills and making critical decisions on accounting treatment and processes to comply with WBD accounting standards and ensuring that the books and records of the company are maintained in compliance with US GAAP.  This position works closely with the PWC auditors, senior executives, and the accounting policy team to resolve complex accounting issues.  Scope of responsibilities impact all Reporting Segments of WBD including Studios, DTC, Networks and Corporate. The position has frequent interaction with senior leaders in Accounting, Finance, Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Operations.

 

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Lead monthly close process and oversee and review complex entries and adjustments for the corporate accounting function.  Areas of focus include but not limited to investments accounted for under the equity-method and other investment guidance which requires constant communications with Accounting, Finance, Corp Development, Tax, Treasury and Operations.
  • Oversee the monthly accounting processes associated with the Company’s AR Securitization program, which includes coordination with the global business service order-to-cash teams to ensure accurate reporting of AR. Additionally, partner with the Treasury team to effectively communicate accounting impacts to decisions associated with the Program.
  • Maintain highly technical accounting knowledge and decision support in evaluating judgmental areas of accounting.  Ability to understand and interpret accounting guidance and apply it effectively, including fair value and impairment guidance under US GAAP.  Complexity requires frequent interaction with PWC auditors and subject matter experts to conclude on accounting treatment. Frequent coordination with policy team on technical accounting issues.
  • Ensure financial controls are operating effectively including ownership of SOX controls relating to primarily, investments and transfer and servicing of financial assets. Mange multiple close deadlines across 4 ERP systems.  Ensure financial controls over systems and processes are properly functioning and sign off on control effectiveness quarterly in accordance with WBD SOX guidelines.  Frequent interaction with external and internal auditors evaluating controls and testing balances. Responsible for overseeing robust and timely balance sheet reconciliations and completion of SEC supplemental schedules for footnote disclosures
  • Provide accounting perspective and support to senior Finance and Accounting leaders including Corporate Executives, Segment CFO’s and Controllership SVP’s and Executive Directors.  Maintain a collaborative and pro-active communications with business partners while maintaining integrity and compliance with WBD accounting policies.
  • Responsible for reinforcing the WBD Controllership culture through sponsorship and involvement in cross-department development and team-building programs. Provide leadership guidance and sponsorship to ad hoc and recurring Controllership improvement projects including software implementation, efficiency initiatives and process improvements

 

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience required (industry or public), minimum of 3 years of experience in supervisory/leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP )and SOX requirements
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • BS/BA in related discipline from an accredited university
  • CPA required
  • Strong US GAAP accounting knowledge with experience interpreting and implementing technical accounting guidance to non-routine transactions
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, deadline-oriented.
  • Initiative, independent problem-solving abilities, ownership of work product, and strong leadership qualities
  • In-depth experience with process analysis and improvement.
