  • Proficient in MS Excel and SAP Knowledge (FI & MM module)

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Analyst, Finance General.

An integral member of the Canada Finance Team supporting the business and performing cost accrual management.  The Finance Analyst will report to the Finance Manager, interacting cross-functionally and with third party logistics providers to support the supply chain organization.

 

Your responsibilities will include

 

  • Support Supply Chain function with Freight and Warehousing cost management with variance analysis and articulate the cost to serve performance within Whirlpool’s network
  • Ownership of month-end accounting with timely and accurate accrual management within variable and fixed freight and warehousing expense recognition in alignment with accounting principles
  • Prepare monthly forecast and annual plan targets partnering with operations on assumptions
  • Prepare managerial reports and complete variance analysis to forecast and plan
  • Communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, both finance and cross-functionally building excellent cross-functional, dotted-line and intra-regional relationships
  • Actively engage in Finance or cross-functional projects geared towards process improvement, profitability, cost reduction.

Minimum requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • Accounting designation earned or in process  (Certifications: CPA, CMA or CGA)
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting

Preferred skills and experiences

 

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and establish priorities with strong organizational skills
  • Partner with the business through effective communication and strong analytical skills providing recommendations in decision making
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, SAP, Business Warehouse, tableau
