Job Description
CNBC, the world leader in business news, is seeking a Membership Manager to support member recruitment and acquisition efforts for CNBC Councils, a series of multifaceted programming initiatives that convene groups of leading C-level executives in key verticals and that super-serve senior leaders (CEOs, CFOs, CHROs, CTOs, and more) with in-depth industry content, insights, and events. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Membership Development, CNBC Councils.
What You’ll Do
The Membership Manager is responsible for end-to-end sales and membership acquisition across CNBC Councils, from prospect and pipeline development to lead nurturing to recruiting to onboarding members to these premiere, executive councils. The role is also responsible for partnering with Planning and Engagement teams to ensure a high-quality member experience to support member retention.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Collaborating with the team’s planning and operations manager to cultivate and leverage a pipeline of viable leads
- Executing on membership acquisition goals by selling to qualified C-Suite leaders and their teams
- Crafting compelling marketing messages that articulate the CNBC Councils value proposition to potential members
- Source, invite and recruit new members and manage the full lifecycle of membership using a CRM and/or other analytical tracking tools
- Respond to inbound inquiries about CNBC Councils programs; vet potential members based on community requirements and editorial standards
- Forge strong relationships with C-level executives and other key stakeholders across Fortune 1000 companies to support recruitment effort
- Leverage CNBC’s media partnerships and coverage plans at relevant trade events – and other industry convenings – to build a deep, trusted bench of executive and stakeholder relationships
- Regularly communicate sales progress and updates to senior leadership team, and leverage client and sales feedback to propose impactful program and product recommendations and updates

Manager, Partner Success- CNBC Events
The Manager, Partner Success is a critical member of the CNBC / NBCU Events sales and marketing team. This team is responsible for all post-sale sponsorship execution efforts within the growing CNBC and NBCU events portfolio, which includes 60+ conferences, thought leadership dinners, and other live + virtual events. This role involves significant client contact and project management duties, with the Manager serving as the main point of contact for all event sponsors post-sale and overseeing all aspects of client integration into each CNBC / NBCU event. This position is based at CNBC headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, and will be expected to maintain a coordinated presence at the sales & marketing office in New York City. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Partner Success.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all event sponsors post-sale and trouble-shoot as necessary
- Lead client kick-offs and regular planning calls
- Create sponsor timelines and project manage all details of event sponsorship, working in close coordination with sales, marketing, production, editorial, and audience development teams
- Communicate and maintain brand standards and processes to sponsors/agencies
- Creatively conceive sponsor activations, in coordination with the events production team, to align with client goals and enhance attendee experience
- Create sponsorship executive briefs and share with all relevant sponsor stakeholders
- Attend events to coordinate on-site sponsor activations with production team and manage sponsors on-the-ground
- Participate in event planning meetings to represent commercial side and advocate for sponsors

Qualifications
What you’ll bring:

- Candidate should be comfortable writing and reporting on deadline, producing short, same-day articles as well as longer features. Ideally, would generate one story a day as well as occasional features.
- Candidate should be skilled at developing sources in the wealth-management, family offices and private banking world, and finding information in an industry typically averse to public attention and media coverage.
- Be a team player, interested in working with colleagues in TV, digital, social, events and sales to help build Inside Wealth’s profile and business.
- Ideally proficient with spread sheets, data interpretation and data visualization to accompany and generate stories.
