Role Mission

As the Client Advisor, you are the Gucci brand ambassador responsible for achieving sales objectives by deepening client connections to Gucci and providing them with the best-in-class service, elevated and unique experience, and strong client relationships.

Client Journey

  • Proactively engage and establish strong relationships with clients, making the client feel valued and at ease from the first point of contact by offering best-in-class service be it in- store or remotely.
  • Deliver a personalized, client-centric experience, fostering strong and lasting relationships to drive repeat business and enhance brand loyalty.
  • Build rapport with clients by discovering their needs and aspirations, creating connections and bonds, and demonstrating generosity and desire to exceed their expectations.
  • Develop client base by recruiting new clients and developing existing ones.
  • Leverage in-store technology to ensure every client’s experience is smooth, pleasant, and relevant.
  • Collect meaningful client information throughout the client journey to understand their preferences to customize the service provided to them.
  • Create and add value to the client’s experience by providing them with useful insights on local lifestyle trends (Theater, arts, travel, etc.).

Sales Excellence

  • Drive individual and collective sales results through monitoring KPIs and maximizing selling opportunities in-store and remotely.
  • Provide exceptional client experience, focusing on hospitality and elevation through selling skills, luxury gestures, and product rituals.
  • Use effective selling techniques in a natural, warm, and elevated manner to drive sales and a client-centric attitude.
  • Select the right products matched to client needs and benefits and effectively use cross and upselling techniques.
  • Proactively promote virtual appointments and distance sales by seeking to recruit clients to create selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a “One-Gucci-Client” perspective regardless of purchase location, on exchange, returns, repairs, and other such transactions that are critical to a positive client experience.
  • Guide and inspire the client to make the best possible decision to buy the right product.

  • Using knowledge of Gucci and our products, engage with clients using storytelling, expert product knowledge, and honest styling advice to assist them in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Proactively attend trainings to gain insights on product knowledge.
  • Ensure to be up to date on fashion trends and competitors (products, campaigns, fashion trends, services, etc.) and clients’ segmentation to come up with the best possible solutions for our clients.
  • Combines styling knowledge with the ability to offer products to best serve the client.

Operational Excellence

  • Actively participate in all store operations such as stock maintenance, stock inventories, etc.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence.
  • Accurately process all POS transactions and ensure accurate capture of client information.
  • Contribute to upholding the visual display of all products following Gucci visual standards.
  • Follow Company grooming guidelines at all times and according to Gucci standards and policies.
  • Ensure optimal levels of products on the sales floor in line with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage general store administration and functionality.

Key Requirements

  • 2+ years of luxury fashion sales experience and excellent track record, preferably in a similar role or customer service setting.
  • Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results and build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and collaboration amongst colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Deep knowledge about and passion for fashion and luxury.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and client attitude.
  • High flexibility and ability to adapt to different clients and complex situations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.

Salary Range – New York

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.

GUCCI Stock Controller (m/f/d)

To be primarily responsible for the management of stock; ensuring that all deliveries, transfers and general organization of the stockroom is carried out with great attention to detail and efficiency. Contribute to increase store turnover by participating to the merchandise flow management within the store and strictly follow all internal procedures in terms of logistic.

Job Description

Stockroom supervision:

  • Be responsible for physical organisation of the stockroom, ensuring that it is tidy, presentable and merchandise is stored in a clear and efficient way in accordance with Gucci directives and procedures
  • Actively be involved in improving storage and stock control systems and suggesting improvements in the overall layout and organisation of the stock rooms as they become apparent.
  • Supervise the flow of goods between stock rooms and the shop floor, prepare and control arrangement of articles
  • Be responsible for organization and replenishment of all packaging, including; bags, garment covers, tissue paper and maintenance and care of wooden hangers.
  • Ensure all sort of shop floor consumables are kept stocked up by placing regular orders with the suppliers this includes stationary and client refreshments

Inventory management:

  • Receive all weekly deliveries into the store and checking that the stock matches the invoice. Inform inventory control of any discrepancies. Also inform the SM of any new stock arrivals.
  • Unpack all deliveries including store transfers putting stock into the correct locations ensuring all merchandise of safely stored and easily accessible in line with company procedures.
  • Process relevant paperwork and other administrative tasks
  • Ensure that replenishment is carried out where necessary and that stock levels are maintained according to client demand.
  • Ensure staff uniform is allocated aside for staff use
  • Liaise with Inventory control regarding deliveries, stock transfers, stock takes & return to vendors (RTVs)
  • Open, track and close consignments in accordance with the Company’s consignment policy.
  • Manage Return to Vendor at the end of every season. Ensure that all previous stock is returned to the warehouse as instructed by inventory control.
  • Prepare markdowns before each sale period, including; separating carry over items from markdown merchandise.
  • Carry out electronic maintenance of stock allocations, enter information regarding orders, transfers and adjustments.

Stock takes:

  • Carry out a full stock takes of all merchandise received in store periodically in addition to the ‘mini’ stock takes of each department.
  • Ensure that any discrepancies are found as a result of any of these stock takes, an investigation to how this occurred should be conducted. Findings from the stock take and any investigation carried out must be presented to the store manager.

Faulty stock and repairs:

  • Identify any faulty stock immediately and ensure that it is not placed on the shop floor where possible.
  • Liaise with Italy and other relevant suppliers as well as completing and keeping a paper trail of the appropriate forms regarding faulty stock and repairs. All repairs must be processed in accordance with the Company’s policy.
  • Responsible for managing Gucci service portal by keeping track of what is sent to repair centre and follow up on relative communications.

Supporting to internal departments:

  • Work with the sales teams in your own boutique and worldwide to ensure that client demands are met and optimum stock levels are maintained.
  • To read and understand weekly store report as produced by the merchandising team
  • Maintain constant communication with the Retail team at head office regarding stock management.
  • Support the visual merchandiser by making available and preparing stock for the boutique’s displays.
  • Liaise with the press department regarding stock they require

Performance Indicators:

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Computer literate, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge and practise in managing inventories with ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
  • Language skills would be advantageous, preferably English
  • Previous experience of a similar role where required to prioritize and multi-task various and competing demands
  • A good communicator with the ability to interface regularly with internal and external personnel at all levels.
